Replace a file and review earlier versions
Publish a corrected file with a reason while retaining earlier revisions for the board.
Step by step
Open Documents, find the file document and choose Version history. Check the file marked Current before making a correction.
Choose Download file beside an earlier version when you need to review it. This downloads that revision; it does not make it current.
Return to an active document card and choose Replace file. For an archived document, use Restore first and record why it should return to the library.
Review the Title, Category and Description (optional), choose the replacement PDF or UTF-8 TXT, and enter a Reason for the change of 5–2,000 characters.
Choose Upload and save, wait for the success message and reopen Version history. Confirm that the replacement is marked Current and has the expected filename and version.
If another board member changed the document first, keep your intended changes, choose Review updated document and compare the latest version before trying again.
Before you continue
- Active members download only the current file; authorized board members can download retained earlier versions. The history dialog shows up to the latest 200 versions. Ask for assisted handling if an older retained revision is needed.
- Every retained revision counts toward the 100 MiB association limit; replacing or archiving does not free that space. Each new file must still be no larger than 10 MiB. The same quota also includes Architectural review attachments.
- Edit details changes a file document’s title and category, not its bytes. A text document cannot be converted into a file document by that editor. There is no one-click rollback; upload a reviewed earlier file as a new revision when appropriate.
