Understand legal sources and service documents

Distinguish official statutes, local requirements, governing documents and the app’s prepared service terms.

Step by step

  1. Open Texas legal center and read the linked source, source status and last-reviewed date for each reference.

  2. Open the official English source when checking the law itself. Spanish summaries and translations are labeled unofficial.

  3. Open Official elections for the preparation area: filter the thirteen statutory references, read selected excerpts and review the six process topics. This area cannot open or authorize an election.

  4. Review county and municipal requirements separately. The directory covers all 254 counties, but local legal rules are not comprehensively reviewed.

  5. Check your association’s declarations, bylaws and amendments with qualified Texas counsel when deciding which requirements apply.

  6. Use the public Terms, Privacy and Data processing links for service documents. Account & service shows their publication state; acceptance is currently inactive while operator details and release review are pending.

Before you continue

  • A source-review date or linked statute is not a legal opinion or compliance certification.
  • Prepared service documents have no effective date and cannot currently be accepted in the app. A future reviewed, published version will require an authorized Community Admin’s explicit acceptance.
